Australian Medical Placements has been Australia’s go-to medical recruitment agency for 30 years. It all began when Lyn Barker & Jodi Duyster, the mother and daughter duo, came together and changed the landscape of the medical recruitment industry.
Fast forward to 2023, our business is now led by three generations of women, with the inclusion of Jodi’s daughter, Tahlia Schalch. Our leadership team leverages their experience to guide the next generation of medical recruitment specialists to evolve the way we do business, while ensuring we stay close to our values and founding roots.
We are humans speaking to humans. We distinguish ourselves from other recruiters by the way we use technology & our desire to make our communication simple and genuine. By being thoughtful and direct with all our communication, we save our locums time & energy which allows them to feel appreciated and connected to us.

To reflect our growth, we modernised our brand to put our personality and brand values at the front-and-centre of our business.
Our new brand represents our fresh and calming personality and how we like to go about our work, while also staying true to our family values and genuine relationships. We chose tranquil pastel colours to represent the kindness and empathy we infuse into our service.
Using a gradient expresses the feeling of our evolution and our desire to take our locums along on the journey with us.

The job search and filtering capability makes finding current locum vacancies much faster, and our job registration platform sends relevant notifications directly to your inbox when they become available.
Another important value to Australian Medical Placements is providing the opportunity for doctors to upskill and receive tailored education. Our training arm provides online education for anyone in the healthcare community, to ensure their skills remain best-in-class.
